We build the systems that do the work nobody should be doing by hand.

KHAIROS did not start as an agency. It started because a dropshipping business could not keep up with its own inbox.

Mattia Lorenzo Gallino was still at university when he was running that store. Orders were fine. Support was not. Every question about a late parcel, a wrong size or a refund landed in the same place and got answered by hand, one at a time, in the gaps between lectures. Hiring was the obvious answer and the wrong one: the volume moved, the cost did not.

So he built something instead. Not a chatbot bolted onto the front of the site, but a set of agents that read each message, worked out what it actually was, pulled the order behind it, and either resolved it outright or handed a human the one decision only a human could make.

It worked. Then it kept working on problems that had nothing to do with parcels. That is the whole origin of the company: a system built out of necessity turned out to generalise, and KHAIROS exists to build it for other teams.

Mattia holds a Master's in International Tax Law with a specialisation in Tax and AI, and a minor in Business Law. That is an unusual route into shipping software, and it is the reason compliance here is not an afterthought. Tax and AI is a field where the rules tend to arrive before the tooling does. Working in it teaches you to read a regulation as a design constraint rather than a warning label, which is how the EU AI Act is treated in every system we put into production. It is also why KHAIROS runs a separate compliance practice rather than a checklist at the end of a build.

The through-line has not changed since the inbox: find the work a computer should be doing, and take it off the humans.
